bodycombat-60-dvd-coverThis year seems to be flying. BodyCombat 59 is still going down a treat 3 – 4 weeks after launch and already someone has kindly posted the music listing for BodyCombat 60 ( hope it’s right ). Still so fresh I’ve just posted the everything BodyCombat 59 post. The Big 6 and 0 is finally here and I am looking forward to seeing what Rach and Dan are going to pull out the bag for this milestone. The last 2 releases have been fantastic how can they top them?

Twitter, Facebook and Instagram have been buzzing with various comments and photographs about the upcoming release and I for one can’t wait till the quarterly workshops.

I have 2 surprises in this blog post about the new release, yes 2.

  1. We have bonus tracks……what??? About time, this is a great step forward.
  2. We have a new move in the shape of a punch, 10 guesses to what that is ;)?

The first BodyCombat 60 review I found doesn’t mention anything about the bonus tracks or any new moves which I find surprising unless it’s asked not to in a NDA? Anyway onto the tracks.

Bonus Tracks

I believe this is the first time BodyCombat has had bonus tracks. Is Les Mills testing the water, will we see future releases having such options?

[alert type=”info” close=”false”]Note: I have tried to link to the track and artist however, it may differ to the release due to it being adapted for Group Exercise. [/alert]

Hi. I think if you find if you scroll down and read the entire review of BC60 you will see under ‘Track 7’ that have mentioned as much as I could about the ‘new move’ in this release/track. You have to be very careful how much information you provide in a review like this. Whilst everyone is entitled to their own opinion when it comes to reviews, there needs to be some respect for the work that the program directors do in keeping these new moves and track names under wraps.

Regarding bonus tracks. There were none filmed on the day. My guess is that there might be some lyrics that may offend some people hence the option of another track? You’ll notice that only 1a is different. So I wouldn’t get my hopes up about a bonus track just yet. Rach has been known to do the same thing in Sh’Bam when there are tracks with references to alcohol, drugs or sex, she’ll offer a bonus track which could in fact be a bonus track if you can use both tracks, or if the original track is deemed offensive then the bonus track becomes the alternate track. Hope that helps. 🙂

Hey LaydeeViVi, thanks for commenting. Yeah I understand you couldn’t say much about the filming :). I hope they do start throwing in bonus tracks as it would make a huge difference over the duration of teaching a single release. Suppose time will tell.

This is not the first time BC has bonus track. One of the old release (10 ish) has a bonus track. Put it as bonus tracks after soooo long…… ha ha ha.

There was a bonus warm up and cool down in BC16 (The warm up is another version of Nessaja by Scooter and one of the best warm ups ever IMHO) and there was a bonus cool down in BC26 (which was Do They Know It’s Christmas by Band Aid and never got used).

Really? Well before my time with the world of BodyCombat. I think it would be a great thing for the programme if they offered 2 bonus tracks per release. 🙂
