Lake district – As far as the eye can see

The lake district is full of life, amazing natural features and is a cracking place for a last minute get away. For the couple of days we were down I managed to rack up over 150 photographs.

One of the days was very dull so we decided to take a drive and go exploring. On the way out from Bowness-on-Windermere we pulled over to look at a view point for a little nosey. On a nicer day I would imagine that the view point would have alot more to offer but with the weather being as it was the landscape was limited. The below photograph was taken to the right of the view point. It reminds me of a water painting I have seen recently, I’ll need to figure out if it was a famous one or not . Very happy with how it came out. The waves of different elements and colours that work towards the back of the photograph that slowly disappears.

I spent quite some time processing the image as I wasn’t sure how I wanted the end result. I thought about going black and white but after numerous revisions I kept with the water painting vision I had when I took the photograph. What do you think?
