I did say way back when I first started my journey of going from participant to a Les Mills group exercise instructor that I only wanted to do Body Combat. 18 months on and well I’ll have to eat my words as it’s official I have booked my 2nd programme, CX Worx.
My module will be based on the current release CX Worx 6 taking place at Engage fitness here in Edinburgh at the end of the month.
CX Worx – You what?
CX Worx is fairly new here in the UK and was first introduced back in November at the Bristol Super Quarterly Brave New World. You’ll recognise the programme directors Dan Cohen and Susan Trainor. Dan being co-programme director for Body Combat and Susan being programme director of Bodyvive.

Formulated with a carefully structured, scientific approach and unforgiving intensity, Les Mills CXWORX tightens and tones, improves functional strength and assists injury prevention like nothing else.
As you can see the class is based like other Les Mills programmes, choreography and music released every 3 months. The programme mainly uses your own body weight but with some tracks equipment is needed. As always there are options, so how quickly do you want that six pack? The equipment used is a resistance band and a plate.
What are other people saying about it?
Roger Edwards – 6 Ways to sculpt your core with CXWorx
Judging by the moans and groans and pools of sweat, everyone was happy with their performance and would be feeling the results the following day.
“A great work out for your core.”
I loved the class
Karl Fitzpatrick – Les Mills CXWORX. Release 06
30 minutes passed. And job done. Ouch. But you love it. Get the lovely feeling of ache. Knowing you’ve earned it.
